Can you have someone else move your stuff for dity move?

My husband can't get a straight answer and won't know the day before he comes home from A school. We already shelled to have a company come get our stuff and move it for us, but now he isn't sure if we'll be reimbursed if we don't do it ourselves. We need answers soon, and honest ones. If you can find it on a website please show me I haven't been able to. And for the record this is the Air Force, I don't know if it makes a difference which branch it is.
