It turns out my wife married me for papers. She was denied citizenship, was deported, and not allowed to re-enter the USA. I never filed for a divorce but I heard she re-married in her homeland, Brazil. I'm assuming she filed for a dissolution of Marriage in her country before getting married again. All I have is a condo and car in my name and a couple savings accounts worth less than 10K. No children. We don't speak to each other and I don't think she'll ever enter the USA again. Do I really need to file something before I marry someone else or for any other unforeseen reason?
