How did Tony Blair and his wife get into politics and how his father became a university law professoer?
Tony Blair's father was a staunch Conservative and it was surprising to learn that Tony Blair supported Labour. He was voted as leader of his local constituency party in Sedgefield in the North East of England. He took a law degree and his wife was an establishedlawyer herself and she became a Judge. She is highly educated and was earning higher wages than Tony at one time. Tony was born into a priviledged family. Unlike many who struggle and fight for survival in the North East of England. He was elected PM after the unexpected death of John Smith. He made a deal with Gordon Brown that he would serve a period of time, then hand over power to Gordon. He stayed PM for 10 years.
