Can I get reimbursed the $130 i paid to install a new phone jack from my landlord?

I recently installed internet service with at&t the problem was that when I began the installation, nothing happened, after I called att, they decided to send someone out to help, when they arrived they told me the phone jacks were not working, after they explained that it would cost me $55 just for their arrival, I allowed them to fix it for an extra $75. So the total came out to 130 and I was wondering, in the state of california, which is were I reside, can I get reimbursed for the $130? I would just like to add that I was a bit reluctant to call my landlord when I found out because the apartment already has many problems, most of the power outlets don't work, the windows don't have screens and the kitchen floor is tearing away, I did report those problems when I had recently moved in, its been a year now and only recently when the city inspector came to look at the conditions of the apartment, did the landlord decide to fix a few of the problems, such as the mold, the wall that was falling apart. Oh and I also had a bad experience when the old hose that connects the gas line to the stove, ruptured, if I had not noticed the small flame spewing from the hose, I probably wouldn't be writing this right now. I kept the old phone jack, just for proof, incase its ever needed, the date on the inside said 9 2001 and on the other panel, was a 6 96, I'm guessing that was the month and year they were replaced. If i paid my rent ahead but now need to move, can i get my money back?

This is my 2nd year staying where i reside. The first year i signed a rental agreement, however, when the new year arrived i have not signed another agreement. I usually pay my rent ahead during tax time because i am not financially able to pay month to month right now. Because of my financial struggle i have decided to move in with a friend and roommate for a while to save money. Somebody please help me with my dog!?

His name is Tanner and unless I find another good loving home for him by monday, he's going to be put to sleep. He was a rescue dog and was abused and not socialized when he was young. He's an 11 month old Anatolian shepherd. He is fear aggressive and very protective of me, im his gal! Long story short, he ended up biting someone (not bad, the guy only needed two stitches) and now, unless I find a home for him by monday, he has to be put down. Please, I love him so much. no rescue group or sanctuary is taking him because it was an unprovoked bite. He let go right when he bit though and sat down. he's not a mean or vicious dog, he's young and scared. Since i got him 4 months ago, he has come leaps and bounds and has made tramendous progress in his basic trainging and on his fear problems. Please, help him! He is now declared a potentialy dangerous dog, so there is a registration fee that I WILL PAY if someone can take him. My landlord wont let me have him at my home and I don't have the time for him. I live in county but I work in the city and I would have to pay reistration fees for both. I can't keep him although I would love too, I've tried dogtown, cesar, and about 100 other places. In October this year, I wanted to take a trip to my father's home town which is about 250 miles away. I received grants and loans for the spring term and I had an unforeseen surgery that had caused me to miss quite a few classes. I received my student loan refund and before the surgery I spent most of it on my room and board and professional certifications for my major. Im 18 years old, and im currently in the Army National Guard in Texas but I'm still in High School and may have to be held back or temporarily un-enroll because of unforeseen family emergencies popping up and I am needed. I have been working for a private held company of 50 employees for almost a year now. Since there are some practices they do which are against my integrity, such as changing quality control data to deceive customers, I decided to call it quits. My last day of employment will be about a week from now. Apparently, they don’t only deceive customers, they deceive their employees too, especially the ones who are not part of the boss’ big family. They did not pay the salary for my first two weeks of employment here and just recently, they wanted to take my laptop before I quit. They claimed my laptop as their property. Additionally, I also paid half of the laptop and installed some of expensive software like MS Access. When I demanded a written policy about this issue, they could not give me one. People say thatthe Lord of the rings books are for adults.... I read them when I was 11 and understood them GREATLY. I KNOW Lord of the Rings is better, but do you? I personally think George Lucas and JK Rowling copied JRR Tolkiens masterpiece story line. Think, a nobody trying to realize his destiny (Aragorn first, Luke second, Harry Potter third.) The JERK Peter Jackson made everyone almost as pansie as Luke. Lukes always all "Why ME?" and "Not Again!" and yet these little 12 year olds find him "THE GREATEST HERO EVER." More storyline, a strong but small group (first the Fellowship of the Ring, then the "rebellion" then Dumbeldores army) trying to do the unthinkable. An old guy with a magic force who greatly loves the young (Frodo, Luke Pansie-walker, Harry Potter) these old guys all have magic powers (Gandalf, Ben Kenobi, Dumbledore.) And when it comes to fighting, Lord of the Rings characters would anihilate them all. Being in the time of swords, axes, and bows, they are all VERY strong and brave. Wielding a sword or axe for 3 days straight in ONE siege takes MUSCLE. Harry Potter people flick their arm and wield a twig. For 2 minutes. In Star Whores (woops) a light saber or futuristic blaster is light as a feather. Do you guys agree that Lord of the Rings is the original, base of most storylines, BEST BOOK SERIES EVER?

I have recently started suffering from anxiety due to several factors in my life but now have this under control in some areas of my life but not my working life. Boyfriend REFUSES to turn his uniforms in for the free cleaning service and its not cool what do I do now?

my boyfriend has FREE uniform service at his job, his only requirement is to turn his uniforms in on mondays. He Absolutely makes no effort to do so, leaving me to hunt them down and wash them for him. Now the problem is a few things, for starters, i find it rather screwed up of anyone to put the burden of washing someones uniforms when they have free service. it ruins our washers eventually and literally every single item of white clothing i have is ruined with grease spots, oh yea,hes a diesel mechanic by the way. Now here's what i have tried, ive tried to put a laundry basket right by the bathtub for him, ive gotten them together and even put them in his truck, only to have him not take them in his shop to get picked up. Ive done what i feel is everything i possibly can to solve this but he still doesnt turn them in. ive talked to him nicely, and not so nicely, ive begged ,ive cried, ive even let him go to work dirty, nothing has changed. I even resorted to extreme measures I changed ALL his name tags on the shirts to the name "GINGER" over his name cuz hes a red head and i was hoping hed not want me to have any access to his uniforms and start to turn them in, but nope, didn't work Now Im sitting here wanting to wear my newest white tank top but you probally guessed it yes its ruined too. The termite company told me that during fumigation for termite, the tenants have to move out for three days. The tenants do not want to pay the hotel fee for those three days. They ask me ( the landlord to pay for the hotel) Are they right? COBRA benefits not being paid even though premiums are paid in full?

Hi! I was hoping someone might be able to give me some ideas on how to deal more effectively with my COBRA benefits administrator. My group health insurance through my employer was terminated 4/01/11 when I went down to part time status. I received my election form for COBRA benefits on 4/15/11 and mailed the form, along with payment for April and May on 5/02/11. The company acknowledges receiving this payment as of 5/10/11. However, I noticed on 5/16/11 that my prescription claims were being rejected. I logged on to the benefits administrator's website and found that my premiums were listed as being $40 higher than those listed on my election form. They were also showing an unpaid balance of $276 for May, even though the amount of my check was listed correctly (so even if their premium information was correct, I would only owe $80 more for two months, not $276). I immediately called to point out their mistake, and I was able to go online and see that it was corrected in their system the same day. However, two days later, my pharmacy was still being told that my insurance benefits ended 4/30/11, so I called the benefits administrator back to ask how long it would take before claims would be paid. I was told that they would continue to look into it and call me back by the end of business (last Wed), but that worst case scenario, the insurance company was not informed of my payment on Monday and it would take 24-72 hours for everything to be cleared up. No one ever called me back, and as of late afternoon on 5/23/11, claims are still not being paid. I called again today and left a message, but have not received a call back. I am getting very frustrated, as I paid my premiums 3 weeks ago and need to fill a rather expensive prescription. Based on my experience thus far with these people, I also don't trust them to make sure I am reimbursed if I go ahead and pay out of pocket. We leased a farmhouse that needed to be remodeled. In our contract with the landlord we were to remodel the house to make it more sale-able in the future (house would be kept on the market while we rented it). We have remodeled that house (75% finished) and we are 30days out from moving and the landlord has decided to sell the house quickly for a lower price and finish the remodeling himself. In our contract it states that if the house were to SELL within the first calender year of us living there, he would reimburse all material expenses that we paid out minus the labor of remodeling the house. This is my question: Since the house has not sold and the landlord has decided to Nix the contract, can we charge him for labor plus materials (he said he is willing to cover material costs like stated in our contract)? Well, usually, the creators of the anime come with these amazing ideas for their plot, their story, their characters, their dialogue...but it always comes down to the ending that gets them stuck. Why is the bank postponing financing for my house?

I am familiar with this problem. I think you can do it with your rider. Put on highest setting and the trick is to only cut 1/2 a strip at a time. Don't try to plow thru a full blade width. Will take twice as long but it works. Another option is to use a push mower. Use a lightweight one that you can maneuver easily. Once again, put it on highest setting and only mow 1/2 width strips. If it starts to bog, (either method), steer towards grass that is already cut. With the push mower, you can also kind of attack it like push in and pull back type action to keep it from bogging. You can also tip it up on back wheels and come down on the grass for an extra thick patch. When you're done, don't forget to lower your blades and go back over it again. And of course , whatever method you choose, safety first. Especially first cut. I would wear eyewear, long jeans and decent shoes, even on a rider. Ditto for every time you use a weed wacker too. Clean blades using a stick too. Welcome to yard land.

Why do people in famine stricken countries continue to have babies?

I love children and understand the deep desire to have children like most women, but I have never understood why couples in extremely poor, starving countries keep having sex/babies, especially when they already have other children that are starving too. I might understand it if a country was doing well, someone had a child and then some unforeseen disaster happened and suddenly the country is in a famine. But I don't understand how anyone could even risk the chance of bringing a new baby into a world when they live in a starving country to begin with. Starving leopard gecko?

Honestly, there's not enough to it. It seems a little cliched- but everything is cliched a little now it seems like. I think if you added some good twists and a few sub-plots this has a lot of potential. I don't think it would suck, or be bad, but it might come out a little dull. It all depends. I'm writing a book about wolves. The main character, Falin, is part of a pack of gray wolves that lives in a mountain range surrounded by forests. The story starts with the prologue that explains that centuries prior to the book, a pack of wolves threatened all of the other packs in the forest, and was banished from it. Falin is the prophecied wolf to save his pack and all of wolf kind from destruction from the rogue pack of wolves and other dangers that I'll come up with as the series goes. I have a lot of the storyline and plot figured out, as well as a lot of characters, but two characters (a brother and sister alpha wolves) don't have names. idk about air guard but the ARNG sometimes pays you travel vouchers when reporting to your duty station. And since national guard is state based as well as federal you will most likely have to do your **** in state. I.e im assigned to the 1-109 infantry out of pennsylvania and i do all my training at Ft Indiantown Gap which is in anneville pa. You dont live on post anyways with the national guard. You only do 3 days a month and 2 weeks in the summer. Unless your training for deployment then you could have a few ATs in the time before you go. Remember though this is Army not AF. So it could be different *Go Army*

Well if you want an even for something in the middle to happen I'd probably not use one. The way I'd setup the story is have the friend die, when he's in prison have him break out and then have the world be destroyed. When the world crumples up into a pile of ash then have him realize it was a huge nightmare and make it so he wakes up at the end of class with his friend shaking him awake. An unlicensed driver totalled my car. Can I sue her?

Help! I am so confused with the Robotech storyline?

I finally watched the original 85 episodes of Robotech and he Shadow Chronicles movie, but I am more confused than ever with it's twisted storyline. First off, Protoculture started out as technology from an alien race in the Macross Saga, then it became a catalyst for the mutation of the "Flower of Life" in The Masters/ Second Cross. Then protoculture becomes an energy source in New Generation?WTF?!!! Then there's the issue with the disappearing Zendreadi in "The Masters" saga. Somehow Dana is around, but there is no other Zendreadi? Then in New Generation, there is no mention of Dana, Zor, or Musica when supposedly they were the reason for the end of the second Robotech war. Then the ending of New Generation confused me because in Shadow Chronicles Scott and Aria are together, while in New Generation, he leaves her. Not to mention all the time differences between when Scott leaves Earth. Now I know that Robotech was three completely different animes fused together and given a large storyline for syndication purposes, but the storyline confuses the heck out of me. Is there anyone who understands these holes?

Do you think the ages are too close to be realistic and do you think his older son should be 15 or 16? I can't keep up with the cost of my medication?

My health insurance prescription plan reimburses me for up to $1000 (for example) per year. The drug (lets say "bottles of pills") my doctor prescribes is very expensive and he has increased the dosage to 4 bottles per treatment. I see him every 3 months for treatment. There was mold in my apartment before I moved in, is my landlord liable?

I'm currently residing in California and I recently signed a lease to move in a new apartment on June 18th. Upon entering my new residence, there was an overwhelming mold smell from a poor vent/fan job done by the carpeting cleaning crew. I immediately emailed my landlord to request to have the carpets re-cleaned. She finally scheduled the carpet re-cleaning for June 22nd, That is 4 days of a mold infested apartment. During the match John Cena sees Hulk Hogan in the crowd talking trash to him. John Cena talk trash back and says TNA sucks. Hulk Hogan then stands up and curse at John Cena calling him a yabba dabba *****. "Come in this crowd and say that to my face Cena I'm not Dwayne Johnson I will kick your ***!" John Cena get out the ring and confront Hulk Hogan with a frown on his face. Out of no where Triple H smack John Cena in the back of the head with a steel chair. The crowd boo Triple H and see him wearing a TNA t-shirt. John Cena bleed heavily from the forehead and Triple H give him ten hard shots to the back with the steel chair. Next, Hulk Hogan jump over the barricade and remove everything off the Spanish announce table. Triple H pick up John Cena and Hulk Hogan punch him in the jaw with brass knuckles.
