Is there a way to get a refund on non-refundable merchandise?
Hello, I live in California, and I have a question regarding no refund policies and minors. My sister(16 years old) recently purchased some hair extensions from a stand in the mall for ninety dollars, but they wouldn't curl as the salesperson had claimed. We then go to the mall and explain our situation to one of the employees, who when asked ,had said she was the manager. After she tried to curl the hair extensions herself and failed to produce desirable or even sub-par results, she then tells us that she would upgrade the product for another one-hundred and forty dollars($90 + $140 = that's just insane). My sister then refuses the upgrade offer and asks for a refund because she is unhappy with the quality/performance of the extensions, but the lady said that they had a no refund policy.I know it's a long shot, but is there any way for my sister to get her money reimbursed?
